We are seeking a smart, savvy, and aggressive Junior Broker to join our team. This dynamic position will support AQUILA’s brokerage team as well as various research and leasing efforts.

Essentially, the perfect fit for this job would be as follows:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Brokerage/Transaction Support & Reporting

  • Prepare and review request for proposals, leases, financial comparisons, etc.
  • Create and produce customized property information materials, comparable market analysis, market and industry research, and targeted client specific research for ownership tours and others as needed
  • Lead onsite or virtual tours of our properties
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and provide information as needed
  • Take initiative to support brokers with high priority projects. Identify problems and alert team members
  • Prepare weekly leasing reports for all properties
  • Maintain CoStar, View the Space (VTS), AQUILA website and other platforms to ensure all data is up to date

Market Research/Knowledge

  • Coordinate information regarding market data, occupancy data, expense analysis, aerials, maps, rent/sales, comparables
  • Track all the deals in the market
  • Maintain inventory list of all AQUILA industrial product
  • Assist in maintenance of AQUILA’s proprietary databases of lease and sales comparables (comps)
  • Keep database up-to-date, actively soliciting new comps from brokers and regularly inputting data from AQUILA done deals, external brokers, offering memorandums, etc.
  • Ensure database integrity by performing regular checks for duplicates and doing additional research to complete missing information
  • Respond to broker questions regarding properties and the overall commercial real estate market

Other

  • Coordinate/assist and attend industry or property marketing events
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ability to shuffle priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Credentials, & Experience

  • College degree required
  • Real estate or related experience preferred but not required
  • Must have or be working toward completing coursework for a Texas Real Estate Sales License (or broker’s license)

Business Skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision required
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Web savvy, skilled internet researcher
  • Possess excellent research skills for marketing material development with strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Experienced writer with sound knowledge of grammar and spelling
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills
  • Extensive database and project management experience
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills

Term & Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. AQUILA’s normal hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours will be worked in the AQUILA office located in Downtown Austin. Computer and software will be provided.

Pay

  • Salary commensurate with experience
